Lilyhemmer 2011 is coming soon.

This is our seventeenth daylily fall festival! The location is in Camp Hill, near Harrisburg PA. Official events are scheduled noon to noon, October 22 & 23, 2010. Many attendees arrive early on Friday and enjoy the informal preview activities Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Why the Viking ship? Lilyhemmer was named in 1994, when the Olympics were held in Lillehemmer, Norway. Norway, of course, is home of the marauding Vikings. So join us in 2011 for good fellowship, food, and some Viking fun!

Reward for new attendees
We want to encourage new attendees and we are offering a nice daylily plant, minimum value of $35, to each new attendee. And there are lots of other prizes.

3 huge prizes

Lilyhemmer attendees can win lots of prizes during the raffles and games we play. In addition we have three opportunities to win $500 worth of daylilies. One attendee will be selected to win a $500 plant certificate donated by Michael Miller after the Saturday evening plant auction. One attendee will be selected to win a $500 certificate donated by Don Herr on Sunday Morning. And everyone sporting some Viking costume (as easy as a helmet) will be entered in a drawing to receive $500 worth of daylilies donated by Diane Kendig.

Join us for 2011 Lilyhemmer!

Plant Donations are needed for the Live Auction which is held Saturday night, after dinner. This is Region 3's biggest fundraising event. AHS members and hybridizers have generously supported our auction and we again need your support. Plants are preferred, potted plants work well for our climate, but certificates for spring shipment are also welcomed. Send bare root plants to address below and they will be potted for the Auction.
